What are the different CALLDIREK® plans?

CallDirek® gives you three different tiers of long distance service to choose from:

  1. CallDirek® Basic: FREE 500 minutes/$11.99 per month to call on-net countries /regions.
  2. CallDirek® Residential Unlimited: $22.99 per month to call on-net countries/regions.
  3. CallDirek® Business Unlimited: FREE unlimited minutes $49.99 per month to call on-net countries/regions.

Any calls made to destinations not included in your calling plan (or per-minute charges that exceed your calling plan) will be deducted from your prepaid account balance.

How can I check my calling detail?

Your CallDirek® personal account will have all details about your calling records. You can modify your account information, check your calling details and recharge your prepaid monthly fees just by logging in.

No, you won't need to keep you computer on if you're using CallDirek® service. You will, however, need to use your cable or DSL modem with the CallDirek® phone adapter.

Are conversations on a CallDirek® line secure?

A conversation on a CallDirek® line is actually more secure than one over an ordinary phone line. A VoIP conversation is broken up into pieces called packets. These packets are sent over the Internet and reassembled at the listener's end. Packets contain no meaningful identifiers in them. Your account information, for example, is not transmitted in these packets. The packets don't necessarily take the same path over the Internet, and will travel only to the intended location (the listener). This means that someone can't simply tap into your conversation, or redirect your packets somewhere else.

Additionally, our servers that handle calls have various security features to prevent unauthorized access to the internal network. All of this makes CallDirek® an extremely secure means of communication.

If I choose a number that is out of the area code that I live in, will people outside of my local area be charged for calling me?

Yes, you can choose a number in any area code where CallDirek® has service. If you choose a number outside of your local calling area, though, normal long distance, regional or local charges may apply for anyone who calls you. These charges are dependent on the specifics of their phone provider and calling plan.

Will I still be listed in directory assistance?

No, we will not list your number in directory assistance unless you request that we do. If you were in your local directory's white pages before, you have the option to retain your listing should you transfer your number to CallDirek®. You'll find two boxes on the Number Transfer Authorization form that will give you that option. New CallDirek® numbers will not be listed in a phone directory.

If you wish to stop receiving telemarketing phone calls, you may go to https://www.donotcall.gov?refer_id=WEBFT0706010001W1 to register your number on the National Do Not Call List.

Can I dial 900 numbers with my CallDirek® service?

CallDirek® does not provide service to toll area codes such as 900.
